The Jeanie is floating in all her glory in scenic Fenit and it\'s a wonderful achievement for many people.
All people involved can now relax, rest and enjoy the part they played in creating such a historic monument for the country as a whole. There were many people connected with this project during the last number of years and the project served its purpose very well indeed.
The guestbook shows the diversity of interest of people, particularly from the US and Ireland.
Thrilled to hear that it wil remain in Irish ownership.
Well done!

As past president and still member of AMHRANAI NA GAEILGE I had the previlege of singing when the JJ docked in Baltimore at the Inner Harbor. And we sang again for the crew of JJ at Fells Point a few days later. The performance at Fells Point was a true soft Irish day-----it rained all day!
My grandfather sailed to the U.S.A. in 1908 and he was not lucky enough to be on such a fine ship at the Jeannie Johnston. God bless all her crew and all who have put so much work and money into this project. We Irish-Americans owe a great debt to the brave men who sailed the ships that brought our families to this new world. GOD SPEED.

<i> Our family visited the Jeanie Johnston this Saturday at Bristol, Pennsylvania. The sailing ship was beautifully crafted; the settings and replicas of the Irish Emigrants were very realistic. I almost felt as though I was on the voyage escaping the Potato Famine on my way to a better land. I found it amazing that traveling that long distance so many years ago, that not a single life was lost. That was an incredible feat in itself.
Having the Irish Festival at the Bristol Port added to the atmosphere. The crafts and music, bagpipers and Irish singers, were wonderful. It was fun for all!

We followed the progress during the building process, and sponsored a mile in memory of our immigrant ancestors. When the ship was delayed in crossing, we feared it may not happen, then much to our joy, read about it\'s arrival in Baltimore. It\'s our good fortune, the JJ will be in NY when we are in July.
